Aerial dance was first recognized in the United States in the 1970s. The choreography incorporates an apparatus often attached to ceilings, allowing performers to explore space in three-dimensions. The ability to incorporate vertical, as well as horizontal movement paths, allows for innovations in choreography and movement vocabulary.

Aerial Arts Association asia (AAA asia) is the localization of AAA's global mission to proudly promote and advance the Aerial Dance industry into a coordinated and well communicated community for networking, support and consultation with each other.

WHO are AAA asia members?

AAA asia members are everyday people, like you, who have interest and passion for Aerial Arts. Disciplines include but are not limited to Circus (acrobatics, trapeze), gymnastics, pole (chinese and dance), still and moving aerial imagery.

AAA asia members are able to network, interact and exchange ideas, queries, advice, expertise and skills with each other. Aerialists to acrobats to pole dancers and gymnasts sharing valuable industry experience with each other for the advancement of Aerial Arts.

AAA asia comprise of representatives from each Asian region (see picture of UN geoscheme).
